Nando's underwent a remarkable transformation and rebranding that captivated the entire nation, originating from the heart of its headquarters. The revamped initiative commenced in 2013, spanning a period of 18 months and expanding the project to approximately 7,500 square meters. This expansion firmly established Nando's as a cherished heritage site in South Africa.

The launch of Central Kitchen marked a significant milestone, featuring an expansive campus comprising seven interconnected buildings. This space was meticulously designed to accommodate a large workforce, reflecting a distinct and authentic ZAesthetic, echoing the spirited essence of Nando's. Beyond conventional office and legal spaces, Central Kitchen boasted facilities such as an in-house gym, restaurant, and culinary innovation centre.

Nando's commitment extended beyond customer satisfaction in its food and beverage offerings. The brand showcased its design ingenuity, which was distinctive, optimistic, and culturally rooted. The objective was to encapsulate the rich and diverse artistry of South Africa within the building's architecture. This vision came to life through collaboration with local artists, who crafted iconic furniture and interior elements, infusing the space with the nation's eclectic creative spirit.

Cairnmead Industrial Consultants was pivotal as the appointed health and safety consultants, diligently overseeing the project's progress and implementation. They ensured strict adherence to all legal and health safety requirements, guiding the project to successful completion.
