Exceptional project
Earlier this year, we visited the Takealot Distribution Centre in Cape Town, specifically focusing on its expansion. Today, we proudly feature this exceptional project as one of our Stamp of Approvals!
The Pickup Point encompasses a total GLA of 22,000m² for the warehouse and 2,000m² for office space. Sustainability is at the core of Takealot DC's design, with dedicated solar PV installation, energy-efficient lighting systems, rainwater harvesting, and water-saving xeriscape landscaping. The cross-dock facility offers impressive racking heights of up to 18 meters and specialised floors.
Ensuring strict adherence
Cairnmead Industrial Consultants played a vital role in overseeing the construction of both the pickup point and offices and the expansion of the Takealot Distribution Centre. Our experienced consultant represented the client throughout the initial construction phase, ensuring strict adherence to South Africa's Health and Safety Regulations. Thanks to our guidance and recommendations, the project was completed, earning our esteemed Stamp of Approval. Congratulations to all involved in this remarkable achievement!
