Cairnmead Industrial Consultants has been a part of many warehouse projects; however, one can truly say that Old Mint Park is one of the top feature projects we worked on during 2021.
How we made it safe.
Eye-catching structure
In 2022, the newly built Mattress & Couch warehouse formed part of Old Mint Park. M&C was rolled out as phase 5 of the parks warehouse development. This eye-catching structure has a total GLA of 8 232m2 with a site area of 13 580m2. The industrial park offers high visibility and exposure as it is located between the N1 and the Old Johannesburg Road. The park also has 24-hour guarded access control and fibre optic infrastructure.
The first two structures were under construction early in 2018. Atterbury teamed up with Old Mutual Properties to invest an estimated R800 million into the development. And large entities within the commercial space have taken occupancy in the park, namely Fortuna Food and of course Mattress & Couch. The development has certainly been well received within the market.
